iOS 17: New Ways to Express Yourself

iOS 17 brings big updates to Phone, Messages, and FaceTime that give you new ways to express yourself, simplify sharing, and enjoy a new full-screen.
iOS 17 makes iPhone more personal and intuitive. Updates to the Lock Screen, Focus, and Messages help you get things done faster and more easily. The new Live Activities feature helps you stay up-to-date on events as they happen, and iCloud Shared Photo Library makes it easier to share and enjoy photos with your family.
New Features in iOS 17
- Phone: iOS 17 brings a redesigned Phone app with a new call history that makes it easier to find recent calls. You can also now easily add contacts to your favorites and create custom call groups.
- Messages: iOS 17 introduces new features in Messages that make it easier to share and collaborate with friends and family. You can now recall messages in the app, recover recently deleted messages, and even mark messages as unread.
- FaceTime: iOS 17 brings new features to FaceTime that make it more fun and engaging. You can now use FaceTime with up to 32 people at once, and you can now share your screen with other participants.
- Live Activities: iOS 17 introduces a new Live Activities feature that helps you stay up-to-date on events as they happen. Live Activities will appear on your Lock Screen and in the Notification Center, and you can interact with them without having to open an app.
- iCloud Shared Photo Library: iOS 17 makes it easier to share and enjoy photos with your family with iCloud Shared Photo Library. With iCloud Shared Photo Library, you can create a shared library of photos and videos that everyone in your family can access and contribute to.
iOS 17 is available today as a free software update for all eligible iPhone models.
