Jack Butland: A Profile of the English Goalkeeper

Early Life and Career

Jack Butland was born on March 10, 1993, in Bristol, England. He began his football career with the Bristol Rovers youth academy before joining Birmingham City in 2010. He made his professional debut for Birmingham in 2012 and quickly established himself as the club's number one goalkeeper.

Premier League Stint

In 2014, Butland joined Stoke City in the Premier League. He spent six seasons with the Potters, making over 150 appearances. During his time at Stoke, he impressed with his shot-stopping abilities and commanding presence in the box.

Crystal Palace Transfer

In 2020, Butland joined Crystal Palace on loan. He made his debut for the Eagles in the FA Cup and quickly became a regular starter. Crystal Palace made the loan move permanent in 2021, and Butland has since remained a key player for the South London club.

International Career
